What are your opening hours?+
We're open Monday to Friday, 8AM to 4PM. On weekends, we're open from 9AM to 4PM.
Where is Caffé Lounge 1188 located?+
We're in the heart of downtown Montréal at 1188 Avenue Union (H3B 0E5), inside the 1188 Union building. We're a short walk from Sainte-Catherine Street, McGill University, and the downtown hotels.
What's the nearest metro station?+
The closest metro is McGill station on the Green line, about a five-minute walk away. Peel station is also nearby, and several downtown bus routes stop within a couple of blocks.
Is there parking near the café?+
There's no dedicated lot at the café, but several public parking garages and metered street parking are available on the surrounding downtown blocks. Because we're so central, many guests find the metro or walking easiest.
Are your bagels authentic Montréal bagels?+
Yes. We serve Fairmount Bagel, the Mile-End bakery that has been making Montréal-style bagels since 1919. They're hand-rolled, boiled in honey water, and baked in a wood-fired oven, which makes them denser and a little sweeter than New York bagels. We bring them in fresh.
What do you serve besides coffee and bagels?+
Alongside our espresso bar and Fairmount bagels, we offer brewed coffee, loose-leaf teas, and cold drinks such as cold brew and iced lattes, plus a rotating selection of bakery items and snacks. You can browse the full menu on our website.
Do you have Wi-Fi, and is the café a good place to work?+
Yes, we offer free Wi-Fi and comfortable seating in a calm, refined space. Plenty of the downtown work crowd come here for focused solo work, remote days, and casual meetings over good espresso.
Do you take reservations?+
Walk-ins are always welcome. If you'd like to reserve seating for a group, plan a meeting, or book the lounge, send a request through the reservation form on our website or contact us directly.

Yes. You can swap in soy or almond milk on any espresso drink, and we have vanilla, hazelnut, and caramel syrups if you want to flavour it. You'll find the full list on our online menu.
